We’ve worked with Favini, one of Italy’s leading paper manufacturers, since 2008. Designing it’s brand identity plus swatches and visual books for its range of specialist papers. We also advise on colour trends and name generation for new ranges – such as Crush, Remake and The Tube.
The company specialises in eco-friendly design and production of paper made from natural fibres. The most recent of which is Shiro Echo, a range of 100% recycled papers with beautiful print qualities – not typically associated with paper made from re-used fibres.
These properties were demonstrated in the latest visual book called ‘Factory Records’. The concept focused on the process of making the recycled paper at Favini’s Mill in Rossano Veneto. We commissioned and art directed illustrator Lyndon Hayes to draw various factory scenes in his imitable reportage style and mixed these with bold graphics of machine plates and logos. The end result records the story from pulp to packaging, and also highlights it’s print capabilities for high-end uses.
