Our new brand for Suffolk Libraries uses a modern mark to echo the library’s heritage.
The independent charity runs the service for the local council and produces a huge amount of collateral often created by non-designers. So the new logo needed to be strong and simple enough to stand out from the visual noise. And this is what it does – always positioned, like a bookmark – to poke out of the image below.
In addition to the brand we also created the ‘Become a Borrower’ advertising campaign and slogan, with illustration by Charlie Davis. To entice commuters to sign up for a library card to access their ever expanding eLibrary offer. The promotion consisted of posters, flyers and social media graphics; with new borrowers receiving an ‘I’m a Borrower’ library card and canvas bag to help to literally 'spread the word'.
